going camping

oh speckled chocolate mice! there’s so very much to tell you about my adventures over the past five days but i’ll start at the very beginning because it’s a very good place to start.

last wednesday i found out that mummy and daddy were going away to help at a youth easter camp and wouldn’t be back until the next monday.

as you can imagine, many thoughts raced through my little head.

- who would feed me?
- who would play games with me?
- who would call the ambulance if i got food poisoning?
- who would keep be safe if we got infested by white tailed spiders?
- who would keep me dry if the house got flooded?

oh the horror of it all. what would happen if i got owlnapped? mummy would be sorry then wouldn’t she! well, i decided i had to take things into my own little wings and i told mummy that she was being so terribly irresponsible for not taking me with her.

oh gigantic basket of aubergines if ever there was one, mummy can be so melodramatic sometimes. she looked at me and then rolled her eyes and gave a great big sigh. then she launched into a tirade of how busy her and daddy would be and how there would be hundreds and hundreds of big scary people running around and that it would be no place for a little owl like me. but do you know what? i gave mummy my most fiercest glare ever and eventually she gave in and said that she would take me and that msfs could come too.

oh chocolate mice in abundance. i was so very very excited to be going camping.
